Comedian Raju Srivastav passed away this Wednesday morning- family confirms

On Wednesday morning, comedian Raju Srivastava passed away. He was 58. Raju Srivastava, a comedian, passed dead on Wednesday morning in Delhi, according to his family. He was then 58.

Why was Raju Srivastava hospitalized?

Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack on 10th of August while exercising. He was working out as usual when he unexpectedly passed out on the treadmill. After having a heart attack, Raju Srivastava was hospitalized at AIIMS, Delhi, on August 10. Post  15 days on ventilator support, Raju Srivastava was able to regain consciousness. Around September 1, meanwhile, he was back on ventilator support post developing a fever as high as 100 degrees.

The comedian’s health condition had seen considerable changes over the previous few days. Despite claims that Raju had regained consciousness on August 25, Raju’s brother Dipoo Srivastava informed ABP News that the family had not received any such information from the physicians.

Dipoo also stated that the comedian had made only slight progress and was only slowly getting better.

Shikha, Raju’s wife, often updated his followers and family about his health and pleaded with them to pray for his recovery.

According to Raju Srivastava’s chief advisor Ajit Saxena, the comic was not able to be saved despite the physicians’ best attempts.

Since the 1980s, Raju Srivastava has worked in the entertainment sector. He immediately became famous after participating in the first season of the stand-up reality comedy series “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” in 2005. Additionally, he presided over the Uttar Pradesh Film Development Council.
